Two royal daughters couldn’t be more different. Amalindis, the firstborn of the two twins, tries to live up to her father’s demands: she dutifully wants to agree to marry Prince Tanka. Zottel, on the other hand, the second-born, feels connected not to her nobility, but to the great outdoors and a full-grown wolf – a wild girl who sleeps in the forest and who has long since fallen out with her father.

But suddenly three witches break into this life and kidnap Amalindis. You have every reason: eighteen years ago you helped the queen conceive. Now they take the price for it knowing that they have planted the seed in the firstborn to be a witch themselves. This is a prerequisite for the oldest of them to be able to rejuvenate in order to survive: for the next solar eclipse she will slip into the body of Amalindis!

Zottel suspects that the time until this transformation is running out. Reluctant to see Tanka, who absolutely wants to accompany her, she sets out on the dangerous journey to rescue her sister. Little does she know that she of all people will fall in love. Little does she suspect that it quickly becomes a question of who is actually the firstborn and therefore the one in whom powerful hexic abilities are invested.
